The Indiana polis star
The Indianapolis Star is one of those few news sources that have been covering the happenings across the United States of America for more than a hundred annum now since the publishing operations at the Indianapolis Star headquarters commenced on the 6th day of June in the year 1903. 
The main motivation and concept behind the inception of the Indianapolis Star was to give a 1st hand account of the happenings in contrast to the other two major publications in mass circulation in the vicinity of Indianapolis; the Indianapolis Sentinel and the Indianapolis Journal.The important thing to observe here is that even though the Indianapolis Star came in to compete against the Indianapolis Sentinel, it enjoyed such a grand reception and reader base that it was able to take over the Sentinel in the years to come. In addition to the Indianapolis Sentinel, the executive personnel at Indianapolis Star went ahead with the buying out of the Indianapolis News.
