Parliament has the powers to legislate: Shahbaz : The LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Mohamad said on Monday a petition in the Supreme Court on the Amendment Act 18 is constitutional and judicial issue and, therefore, irresponsible comments and observations in this regard should be avoided. He said that the parliament as is the representative institution and have powers of legislation, the judiciary and the right to interpret laws and their role in ensuring the rule of justice and equity. The Prime Minister said in a statement issued here, that people from all walks of life including civil society, politicians and make sacrifices are invaluable for the restoration of the judiciary and the rule of law and that he had absolute confidence that the judiciary would not give any decision contrary to the spirit of democracy and the demands of justice

Pakistan, Nepal agree to improve bilateral ties
Kathmandu: Pakistan, Nepal, on Monday agreed to strengthen their bilateral relations, and decided to continue the promotion of trade and economy, and people to people, defense and cultural relations. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, who arrived here Monday morning, Minister of the Nepalese Prime Minister Kumar Nepal Madev at home, Prime Minister and discussed various aspects of bilateral relations.
