QUESTION: Your partner, Alex, just gave birth to twins. How does it feel to be a new mom?

It’s overwhelming. I’m loving being tired. I enjoyed getting peed on.

Alex is amazing. There’s no fear. I’m in love.

QUESTION: What is your hardest challenge as a black woman in comedy?

QUESTION: What is your favorite funny line that never gets old?

Anything that starts with ‘What the hell?’

QUESTION: What is your favorite indulgence?

Bowling for five hours. My high game is 219. I started snowboarding. Now that it is getting hot, I would love sitting on a beach drinking a margarita. I’m a homebody. I like watching a marathon on television like ‘Top Chef.’

QUESTION: What is it like playing Barb on ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.’

Barb is Christine’s best friend. What I like is Barb has Christine moments. I love it and I’m looking forward to next season.

QUESTION: Have you had any challenges being a black gay woman?

I think the most authentic you can be as a person is important. That’s the way it should be. I don’t care if you’re straight, and you shouldn’t care if I’m gay or a lesbian.

QUESTION: What did you think of Miss California’s comments at the Miss America pageant about same sex marriages and do you agree with the way Perez Hilton handled her response in the aftermath?

I don’t think about Miss California. She’s not Miss Supreme Court so I don’t care.

QUESTION: Who are you surprised is a fan of yours?

I met Colin Powell at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. We did some sign language. He said good job. He could’ve said kiss my (expletive)!
