Vancouver (British Columbia – Two days before the Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette was here to compete on home soil and is struggling to get a medal, with the Olympic Games a tragic turn. Rochette, silver medalist at the world championships in 2009, is still expected to compete on Tuesday in the short program. Long-term program is set for Thursday.

Officials said Rochette will not talk to reporters that the competition had ended.
